The artificial intelligence that serves as the computer of the Outlaw Star is known as Gilliam II. By virtue of being the computer of the most advanced ship in the galaxy, Gilliam is rather proud of "his" ships abilities. He is able to service the ship thanks to countless small cylindrical workers, one of which Jim painted pink to distinguish it from the others. This incarnation of Gilliam is often carried with Gene and co. while they are outside of the ship.
